Hey, I’m Ella and I am the new Warwick Mixed Club Captain for the 20/21 season. I am super excited about this year as we are hoping to expand the Warwick Mixed Hockey League, with new teams, new socials and a new logo. I am also determined to have more beginner and friendly fixtures throughout the year to get even more of the club involved in matches! I am looking forward to winning Varsity this year.
I am a second year History student from Harrogate, near Leeds and one of very few Northerners in the club or Warwick for that matter. Studying history means very few contact hours, meaning more time for hockey, woo! I have played hockey since I was little and have always been very competitive. Although I finished last season with nearly as many cards as goals, I hoping to change that next season.
Since starting mixed hockey in my first term of university I have made loads of new friends who share my love for hockey and circling. I have had some of my best university memories with the club, including ruining several innocent holiday goers evening with my beautiful drunk karaoke rendition of Adele - make you feel my love (I still have nightmares). As well as playing for Mixed in our first ever varsity fixture as a fresher.
