2022/23
We are already off to a blinding start with our fundraising this year, having already raised over £600 in one term! We have had a brilliant time at out fundraisisng quizes, charity mario kart tounaments and new Goals for Covenrty Haven! Our next event is our Summer Challenge: Caving! 2020/21
After starting with a successful Summer Challenge, UWMXDHC moved on to host our biggest-ever Movember initiative! Our January Challenge was another of our best yet, with more members involved and more money raised. We've also hosted quizzes and taken on other silly challenges in the name of charity. In a year where we had to spend most of our time at a distance from one another, our Charities Secretary, Kat, really pulled it out the bag and finished the year strongly with Fresher Pledges with Alumni and our annual Mixed Hockey Charity Quiz (where potential future Social Secs got to debut their skills)!
2019/20
The 2019/20 year started strongly with a hike up Scafell Pike, a fundraising event that raised £1,207, all before summer was even over! We collaborated with lots of different Warwick clubs and societies, attending pub quizzes, hosting skill swaps, and running 5k. We also donated presents to families in need at Christmas through Coventry Haven's platform, and volunteered in soup kitchens and at warehouses. It was a great year for charity with a huge variety in the events that took place.
2018/19
2018/19 was an incredible year; our Summer Challenge involving climbing Snowdon raised £876.96 for Coventry Haven before the academic term even began! Our Charities Sec, Saz, did an amazing job of imagining and realising different charity events throughout the year.
2017/18
UWMXDHC raised a total of £1007.05 for Coventry Haven at many charity events throughout the year! In Term 3, we also managed to raise over £1000 for the LWS Night Shelter by contributing to build 'The World's Biggest Blanket Fort!'
