Hello, I’m Stella, I use they/them pronouns, and I’m the treasurer for this year. This means that it’s down to me to sort out the club’s finances, talk with current and potential sponsors and lend out a helping hand to any of the other exec members. I’m a 3rd year discrete mathematics student, which takes up most of my spare time - but when I’m not working I play hockey. I’ve played the sport for nearly 14 years now and I love how hockey is this brill universal outlet from any stresses in life; when you step on the pitch you move in to this safe bubble where you leave all the negative things behind and just have a laugh. I’ve been at Mixed since my first year and loved every second of it. You’ll probably catch me most of the time in full keeper kit come training or match day throwing myself around the goal - but don’t worry I don’t wear the pads and helmet to socials!
I’ve felt so accepted and at home in this club and I can’t wait to help others looking to join UWMXHC feel as welcomed and included as I did.
