Match report v Oxford Brookes
After the last visit from Brookes I can't say I wasn't nervous, PTSD about Holly's comment was surfacing. Thankfully, Brookes turned up with only 3 players I recognised and a new goalie, things were looking up. Tommy finally decided to turn up to umpire which meant that we were ready to go. We started well but their press was high and the classic loss of a tie between our midfield and defence was our downfall. We conceded 2 goals in the first half, but Alex did take his anger out by hitting one of their players on the head with his stick, so fairs fair I guess. After a good team talk at half time from everyone, mainly talking about working more as a team and working for each other, we set off again and the improvement was great. We started working for each other and our constant fight proved well, with many more opportunities around goal. El turned up for the last 5 mins and did some awesome supporting on the side line (she wanted a mention cause she hasn't been mentioned in all the games she has played in). They managed to score one more goal past us, just for fun I'm sure. We finally managed to score off some great team play between Aaron, Ella, with a great play round the keeper to Tom who smashed it in the goal. Well done to everyone and sorry for the boring match report, even though this was written about 15 minutes after the game I couldn't really remember what happened in it, classic me...
